Roadmap Tracker: What Is Known, and What Is Not

Two lists, kept honest. Everything Ubisoft has confirmed about the Marketplace sits in the first; everything still unannounced sits in the second. If a claim is on neither, it is a rumour.

HOW TO READ THIS BOARD

Most “roadmap” pages mix confirmed facts, old announcements and guesses into one confident list. This one keeps them apart. The known column only contains things Ubisoft has stated through its official channels. The unknown column contains the questions players ask most that Ubisoft has not answered yet. When Ubisoft answers one, it moves columns — and not before.

Two lists, kept apart.
//- 02 - WHAT IS KNOWN

WHAT IS KNOWN

The Marketplace is temporarily closed. Ubisoft has closed it while several improvements are completed, and says that work is expected to take several months. That is confirmed, current, and applies to every player.

The trading rules are confirmed too. Sellers pay a 10% fee on completed sales; buyers pay the price their order matches at, which is the lowest resting sale price in the order book. Access requires clearance level 25, 2-Step Verification active, recent in-game XP activity, and an account in good standing. A purchased item sits under a 15-day hold before it can be resold. Only eligible cosmetic items trade — and items from the current season become tradable in the season after. R6 Credits cannot be withdrawn as money; they stay inside Ubisoft’s ecosystem. The Marketplace is web-based and account-based, so console players trade through a browser rather than an in-game interface.

Confirmed, current, checkable.
//- 03 - WHAT IS NOT KNOWN

WHAT IS NOT KNOWN

The reopening date. Ubisoft has not announced one, in any season, on any channel. Anyone quoting you a date is quoting a guess.

A native in-game console app. Console access today is by browser, because that is how the service is built; Ubisoft has not announced an in-game console version or a date for one.

Future changes to the rules. Whether the fee, access conditions or item waves change when the Marketplace returns is Ubisoft’s call, and it has not published those decisions. This board will not fill the gap with predictions: an unannounced change is listed here as unknown, even when it sounds likely.

Unanswered, and labelled so.
//- 04 - HOW THIS BOARD UPDATES

HOW THIS BOARD GETS UPDATED

Only one way: Ubisoft confirms something through an official channel, and the item moves. We check claims against Ubisoft’s news and Help pages before anything changes columns. If you have seen an official announcement we have missed, send it through Submit a Correction with the source link, and we will verify and update. How announcements themselves work is explained on Updates & Roadmap.

Items move only on official word.
//- 05 - THE UNKNOWN COLUMN

WHY THE UNKNOWN COLUMN DOES THE REAL WORK

It is tempting to skip straight past the unknowns — they are, by definition, the part with no news in it. But the unknown column is what protects you. Every fake reopening date, lookalike login page and “early access” offer depends on a player treating an unanswered question as if it had been answered somewhere. A board that keeps the unanswered questions visible, in one place, removes the gap those fakes operate in.

It also keeps the known column trustworthy. The moment a tracker starts padding its confirmed list with likely-sounding guesses, the confirmed list stops meaning anything — and readers can no longer tell which items they can plan around. Players ask us to guess anyway: to fill the column with the most likely date, or the most repeated rumour. We will not, because a guess printed in the known column’s neighbourhood borrows authority it has not earned. Two honest lists beat one impressive one.

The unknown column protects you.
//- 06 - WHAT TO DO WITH AN UNKNOWN

WHAT TO DO WITH AN UNKNOWN

Unknowns are not dead ends; they just change what the sensible action is:

  • For the reopening date: use the wait. The access conditions are known, so you can meet them now — level, verification, activity, standing — and be ready the day trading returns, whenever that is.
  • For future rule changes: plan around the rules as they stand. If Ubisoft changes the fee or the hold, it will announce it, and plans made on today’s confirmed rules can be adjusted then.
  • For a console app: trade through the browser, which is the confirmed route today, and treat any app claim as unknown until Ubisoft says otherwise.

And if an unknown matters enough that you go looking for an answer, the test is always the same: it only stops being unknown when an official Ubisoft channel says it. When that happens, the item moves columns here with its source named, and any of our guides that depended on the old position are revised to match — the board is a record of what is known, so it has to change the moment the knowledge does.

Unknowns change the sensible action.

WHAT IS KNOWN

That it is temporarily closed while several improvements are completed, with that work expected to take several months — and the trading rules: sellers pay a 10% fee on completed sales; buyers pay the price their order matches at, the lowest resting sale price in the order book; access requires clearance level 25, 2-Step Verification active, recent in-game XP activity and an account in good standing; a purchased item sits under a 15-day hold before it can be resold; only eligible cosmetic items trade, and current-season items become tradable in the season after; and R6 Credits cannot be withdrawn as money.

Nothing has been announced. The confirmed model is a web-based, account-based service: console players trade through a browser. An in-game console version may or may not arrive one day, but today it belongs in the unknown column.

Only one way: Ubisoft confirms it through an official channel. We check claims against Ubisoft’s news and Help pages before anything changes columns. If you have seen an official announcement we have missed, send it through Submit a Correction with the source link, and we will verify and update.

Yes — use the wait. The access conditions are known, so you can meet them now: level, verification, activity, standing. That way you are ready the day trading returns, whenever that is.

Because the moment a tracker starts padding its confirmed list with likely-sounding guesses, the confirmed list stops meaning anything — and readers can no longer tell which items they can plan around. Two honest lists beat one impressive one.

WHAT IS NOT KNOWN

No. Ubisoft has confirmed the closure and said the improvement work is expected to take several months, but it has announced no reopening date. The moment it does, that date moves to the known column here.

Only if you can find the same date on an official Ubisoft channel. Leaked and invented dates circulate constantly while a service is closed, and some exist to lure players to fake login pages. Ubisoft’s own pages are the test.

Unknown. Whether the fee, access conditions or item waves change is Ubisoft’s call, and it has not published those decisions. Plan around the rules as they stand; if Ubisoft changes them, it will announce it, and plans made on today’s confirmed rules can be adjusted then.

Because a guess printed in the known column’s neighbourhood borrows authority it has not earned. An unannounced change stays listed here as unknown, even when it sounds likely. The unknown column is what protects you: every fake reopening date and “early access” offer depends on a player treating an unanswered question as if it had been answered somewhere.

As a rumour. If a claim is on neither list, it is not confirmed and not even a tracked open question — and the test is always the same: it only stops being unknown when an official Ubisoft channel says it.
