Console & Platforms — One Marketplace, Reached by Browser

The R6 Marketplace is a website, not part of the game client. PC, PlayStation and Xbox players all reach it the same way: by signing in with their Ubisoft account in a browser.
//- 01 - HOW ACCESS WORKS

HOW ACCESS WORKS ON EVERY PLATFORM

The Marketplace is web-based and account-based. It does not live inside the Siege game client on any platform, and your eligibility attaches to your Ubisoft account — not to the device you play on. Your inventory, your Credits balance and your access conditions all belong to the account, so they are identical whether you normally play on PC, PlayStation or Xbox.

That is why there is one set of rules for everyone. The access conditions — clearance level 25, 2-Step Verification active, recent XP-granting activity and an account in good standing — are checked against your Ubisoft account, and they do not change with your platform.

One account, every platform.
//- 02 - PC PLAYERS

PC PLAYERS

If you play on PC, nothing about the Marketplace is built into your game either. You open a browser, go to Ubisoft’s official Marketplace website, sign in with the Ubisoft account you play on, and trade there. The game itself is where your items and progress live — the buying and selling happens on the website, in the same account.

PC players use the browser too.
//- 03 - CONSOLE PLAYERS

PLAYSTATION AND XBOX PLAYERS

Console players trade exactly the same way: in a browser. There is no Marketplace menu inside the console version of Siege, but you do not need one. Sign in to the official Marketplace website — in your console’s browser, or on a phone, tablet or computer — with the Ubisoft account linked to your PlayStation or Xbox profile, and your inventory and balance are there.

Any claim that console players cannot use the Marketplace at all is wrong. What console players do not have is an in-game version — the website is the front door for every platform. Our Trading on Console guide walks through the sign-in step by step.

Console players trade by browser.
//- 04 - WHAT DOES NOT EXIST

WHAT DOES NOT EXIST

Be clear about what Ubisoft has not shipped, so nobody can sell you a fake:

  • No in-game console Marketplace. There is no native Marketplace inside Siege on PlayStation or Xbox, and Ubisoft has announced no date for one.
  • No official app. There is no Marketplace companion app. Anything claiming to trade Siege items outside Ubisoft’s own website is not Ubisoft’s.
  • No platform-specific shortcut. No platform gets different requirements, different fees or earlier access. If a site promises any of those, it is inventing them.
No app, no shortcut, no fake.
//- 05 - GOOD TO KNOW

GOOD TO KNOW

Ubisoft currently lists the Marketplace as temporarily closed, with no reopening date announced — on every platform alike. When it returns, access will work the way this page describes: through the browser, on your account.

Closed on every platform alike.
//- 06 - YOUR FIRST VISIT

STEP BY STEP: YOUR FIRST VISIT FROM A CONSOLE

If you have never opened the Marketplace as a console player, the route takes a couple of minutes:

  • 1. Open a browser. Your console’s browser works; a phone, tablet or computer signed into the same account works just as well.
  • 2. Go to Ubisoft’s official Marketplace website. Type the address yourself rather than following a link from a message or a video description.
  • 3. Sign in with your Ubisoft account — the one linked to the PlayStation or Xbox profile you play Siege on. A different Ubisoft account will show a different inventory, because the items live on the account, not the console.
  • 4. Check the account gates. If anything is locked, the reason will be one of the four access conditions — level, verification, recent activity, standing — not your platform.

Nothing in that list involves the game client. You can check your eligibility and browse from the sofa with the game switched off entirely.

Four steps from the sofa.
//- 07 - MORE THAN ONE PLATFORM

PLAYING ON MORE THAN ONE PLATFORM

If you play Siege on both console and PC, nothing needs transferring and nothing needs setting up twice. The inventory, the Credits balance and the access conditions all sit on the one Ubisoft account, and the Marketplace reads them from there. Sign in with that account from any browser, on any device, and you are looking at the same collection. The four access conditions are checked once, against the account — reaching level 25 on your account counts, whichever machine you earned it on.

One account, both machines.
//- 08 - CONSOLE MYTHS

WHAT CONSOLE PLAYERS GET WRONG

  • “The Marketplace is PC-only.” It is not. Eligibility attaches to the Ubisoft account, and the website is the front door for everyone. Claims that console accounts are shut out contradict how the service is built.
  • “I need the game running.” You do not. Trading happens on the website; the game is only where items are used.
  • “My items are on my console.” They are on your account. Sign in with the linked account and the same inventory and balance appear, whatever screen you are looking at.
  • “An app would be more official.” There is no official app. An app or site claiming to trade Siege items outside Ubisoft’s website is a fake, however polished it looks.
The myths, answered.

PLATFORMS, MYTHS AND STATUS

No. Trading happens on the website; the game is only where items are used. Your items are not “on your console” either — they are on your account, so the same inventory and balance appear whatever screen you sign in on.
Almost certainly the account: signing in with a different Ubisoft account than the one you play on shows a different inventory, because the items live on the account, not the console. Sign in with the account linked to your console profile.
