Can I Sell This? Check If Your Item Can Be Listed

Not every Siege cosmetic can be traded. Tell this checker about your item and it applies Ubisoft’s eligibility rules, so you know where you stand before you try to list something that was never going to sell.

Tradable Item Checker

Four questions, and it names the specific rule blocking your item rather than shrugging at you.

Can it be listed? —
In short —

Every rule, checked

    Formula

    any "Blocks" → not listable
    else any "Check" → confirm first
    else             → likely listable

    Example: an Alpha Pack drop owned 3 days against a 15-day hold returns "Check first" — nothing blocks it outright, but the hold has not elapsed.

    A rules engine, not a database. It cannot see your inventory, and the in-game tradable marker always wins a disagreement.

    //- 01 - HOW IT WORKS

    HOW IT WORKS

    1. Describe the item. Its type — weapon skin, attachment skin, charm, headgear, uniform or another cosmetic — and where it came from.
    2. The checker applies Ubisoft’s published rules. Only eligible cosmetics can trade, items from the current season stay locked until the next season begins, and some items are marked non-tradable on their item card.
    3. Get a clear verdict. Tradable, locked for now, or not eligible — with the reason, so you know whether to list it, wait, or stop planning around it.

    //- 02 - HOW TO READ YOUR RESULT

    HOW TO READ YOUR RESULT

    • Tradable — the item’s type and season pass the checks. If you acquired it recently, the separate 15-day resale hold still has to pass before you can list it.
    • Locked until next season — current-season items are not tradable yet; Ubisoft makes them eligible when the following season starts.
    • Not eligible — Ubisoft sets eligibility item by item. The marker on the item’s card in the Marketplace is the final word.
    • Treat the verdict as guidance, not a guarantee. This checker works from the published rules — it cannot look inside your inventory.

    //- 03 - WHEN TO USE THIS CHECKER

    WHEN TO USE THIS CHECKER

    Run an item through the checker before you build any plan around it — before you price it, before you set it aside as a future sale, and before you assume it can cover the cost of something else you want. It is also worth running right after you acquire an item you might resell later: the verdict tells you whether the item can ever be listed, even though the 15-day resale hold still has to run. And if you are returning to the game after a long break and sorting an old inventory, checking your pieces one by one is the quickest way to learn which of them the Marketplace will accept at all.

    //- 04 - A WORKED EXAMPLE

    A WORKED EXAMPLE

    Example (illustrative). Three items, three different verdicts. A headgear piece from two seasons ago, picked up from a pack: its category trades and its season has long passed, so the checker calls it tradable — listable once any resale hold on it has run out. A uniform that arrived as part of a bundle bought outright in the shop: bundles like that generally cannot be split up and resold, so the verdict is not eligible, however good the piece looks. A weapon skin earned during the current season: the category trades, but the season lock applies, so the verdict is locked until next season — nothing is wrong with the item, its time simply has not come. Same inventory, three outcomes. That spread is exactly why the check runs item by item instead of by guesswork.

    //- 05 - COMMON MISTAKES

    COMMON MISTAKES

    • Checking the type but not the season. An eligible category is only half of the answer. A current-season item in a tradable category is still locked until the following season begins.
    • Reading “not eligible” as an error. It is not a bug, a penalty or something support can overturn. Eligibility is set by Ubisoft for each item, and some items were never meant to change hands.
    • Reading “tradable” as “listable this minute.” A tradable item can still be inside its 15-day resale hold, your account can still be short of the trading requirements, and the verdict says nothing about the Marketplace’s current closure.
    • Checking a bundle instead of its pieces. Bundles and the items inside them do not always share a status. Run the actual item you hope to list, not the package it arrived in.

    //- 06 - GOOD TO KNOW

    GOOD TO KNOW

    Eligibility is Ubisoft’s call, item by item, and it can change as items are added in waves. As a rule of thumb, cosmetics tied to a purchase, a promotion or an account milestone are generally not eligible, and bundles bought outright usually cannot be split up and resold — but the item card is always the authority, so check it before relying on any rule of thumb. Two other gates sit outside this checker: your account has to meet the trading requirements too, and a newly acquired item carries a 15-day resale hold before it can be listed, however eligible it is.

    What Can Trade

    Eligible cosmetics only — weapon skins, attachment skins, charms, headgear and uniforms, plus a few other cosmetic types such as portraits and card backgrounds. Nothing that affects gameplay can be traded. If an item is not on that list, no verdict from this checker can make it tradable.

    Ubisoft keeps items from the current season untradable until the next season begins. Once the new season starts, those items become eligible — assuming the item type itself is tradable.

    No. The Marketplace deals in cosmetic items only, and nothing that affects gameplay can be traded at all. If the thing you want to list is not a cosmetic, the checker will not pass it — and no rarity or value changes that.

    Generally, no. Elite skins are usually treated as not eligible, alongside bought bundles and promotional items — but eligibility is Ubisoft’s call, item by item, and rules of thumb have exceptions. Treat the verdict here as guidance and the item’s card in the Marketplace as the final word.

    Usually not. Bundles bought outright generally cannot be split up and resold piece by piece, but a bundle and the items inside it do not always share a status — so run the actual item you hope to list through the checker, not the package it arrived in.

    Understanding Your Verdict

    Three: tradable, locked for now, or not eligible — each with the reason attached. That reason matters more than the label, because it tells you whether to list the item, wait for a gate to lift, or stop planning around it entirely.

    Two common reasons: the item is still inside its 15-day resale hold, or your account does not meet the trading requirements yet. The Trade Cooldown Timer and the Eligibility Checker below cover each one. A third possibility sits outside the item entirely: while the Marketplace is temporarily closed, nothing can be listed by anyone, however eligible it is.

    No. The verdict answers one question only: whether the item is eligible to be listed. Whether a buyer appears, and at what price, is a separate matter the checker does not judge — eligibility is the gate, not a promise of a sale.

    No. It works from the published rules and the details you give it about the item — it cannot see your account or your actual items. That is why every verdict is guidance: only the item’s card in the Marketplace confirms its real status.

    Because the answer is still useful preparation. The checker tells you which of your items could ever be listed, which are only waiting on a season or a hold, and which to stop planning around — so when trading returns, your sorting is already done. Ubisoft has announced no reopening date, so treat the check as planning, not a promise.
